About PrepAcer
PrepAcer is a calm place to practise for exams. A parent sets up the account, children practise topic by topic, and every answer comes with a clear explanation.
What PrepAcer is
PrepAcer is independent exam practice with three modules: GCSE (maths, sciences and computer science, for AQA and OCR courses), the 11+ (English, maths and reasoning for several grammar-school entrance routes) and Year 6 SATs (maths, grammar, punctuation and spelling, and reading). Each account is for one child in one module.
We only cover subjects whose answers can be checked as right or wrong, so we can mark them exactly and fairly. That is why there are no essay subjects.
How practice works
- Pick a topic and answer short questions. Multiple-choice and number answers are marked straight away by the app.
- Written answers are marked by AI against the mark points. You see which points were met and missed, and a button lets you say you think a mark is wrong.
- After each answer there is an explanation, so a wrong answer turns into learning.
- Wrong answers collect in a Mistakes to retry list, and a weekly plan spreads topics across the weeks until the exam.
- Timed practice mocks give practice in exam conditions. They are built from our question bank, so they are not copies of any official paper.
What we do not do
- We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any exam board, test provider, council or school. Exam board and test names are used only to say which course or test a set of practice follows.
- Our questions are original practice questions written for PrepAcer. They are not past papers.
- We do not promise grades, scores or places. Practice scores are not exam results or admissions scores.
- We do not show adverts, sell data or use analytics or tracking cookies.
Children's privacy
A parent gives an email address and chooses a username for their child. Children never need an email address. We designed the service around the UK Age Appropriate Design Code. Read the Privacy Notice for the detail.
Where to start
- Read the guide for parents to see how accounts, plans and progress work.
- Try the sample questions. You do not need an account.
